Italian Gardens Centenary - June 2022

The Italian Gardens Centenary celebrations were held on Sunday 26 June 2022 with a programme of events shown below.

Part of the celebrations was the installation of two stone spheres, which were part of the original design. One etched with 1922 and the other with 2022. This was possible thanks to the generosity of members of the Friends, the Meads Community Association and Eastbourne Local Lottery. The spheres were made and installed by Tiley's Stonemasons of Brighton.

Some photos are shown below including some older ones which show the original spheres in place, and also some of the repair works carried out.
